Shipping Associate

A Shipping Associate job opportunity is available at our manufacturing plant in Sacramento, CA at Milgard Windows and Doors. In this role, you will be responsible for truck loading and/or stocking the delivery routes. You will perform a variety of loading and stocking assignments.   The compensation is $22 an hour. The position requires a start time of 7 AM, Monday through Friday, with overtime opportunities available. MITER Brands, also known as Milgard, MI Windows & Doors and PGT Innovations, is one of the nation's largest suppliers of vinyl windows and patio doors, with plants across the country."¯ "¯    Perform warehouse activities per standard operating procedures.Ensure loads are complete per documentation on the correct delivery vehicle in the proper order.Troubleshoot missing products through the manufacturing process and expedite to ensure on-time delivery.Secure loads in the proper fashion to minimize damage and breakage.Ensure the warehouse is stocked according to the route.Maintain proper paperwork account for all shipments, noting any discrepancies.Demonstrate Milgard's Quality Pillars in all business interactions. Adhere to all facets of safety policies and procedures, including wearing required Personal Protective Equipment. Previous experience in a similar environment handling various sizes of finished goods.Glass handling and/or glass knowledge is a plus but not required.Read and understand window labels and route codes.Good hand dexterity with the ability to use handheld scanning units. Mechanical aptitude and ability to read a tape measure. This position may require strenuous activities such as:  Ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted. Standing for long periods. Our benefits package includes coverage of your health, wealth, and wellness for you and your eligible spouse/dependents.
