Job SummaryWarehouse Shipper pulls all the parts for outgoing orders. Once the parts and qty's have been verified they will start generating the shipping documentation package that goes with every shipment. Once all paper is signed off, they will pack the orders to ship out. These goods and commodities may include many types of products such as:electronic componentsmachine parts and or assemblieschemicalspackaging materials.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesPull orders/generate shipping documentation and pack up shipments.Work with Warehouse manager on what orders will be pulled first.Print out the pick list report and pull the correct part and quantity for the shipment. Once the part and quantity have been verified, they will start working on the shipping documentation package that is needed for the shipment (packing slip, warehouse checklist, commercial invoice.)Pack up the items for shipping (this may include boxing items with foam, crating items, wrapping items in bubble wrap to ensure items are protected while in transit.)If the items are small enough and light enough, they will prepare the package for a Fed Ex shipment via Fed Ex online.Will work on other duties as assigned by Warehouse ManagerKeeps shipping area dirt free and neat.QualificationsHave a understanding on all shipping functions and all transactions involved with doing the tasks.Must have experience with using Fed Ex and Ups Online shipping services.Past experience with boxing and crating of items for shipping.Ability to read, understand and follow safety procedures.Demonstrated ability to follow oral and written instructions.Ability to respect deadlines and to efficiently interrelate with other workers.Must have excellent workmanship skills.Must have VERY high attention to detail.Meets passing requirements to obtain a Security clearance.Must be adaptive to a high-volume production environment and integrate as an active team member with a positive can do attitude.Education and/or ExperienceMinimum of 3 years warehouse experience.HS Diploma required; A.S. helpful.Basic Employment RequirementsExcellent communication skills, self-motivated, capable of multitasking.Ability to interpret various forms of assembly documentation.Must be authorized to work in the US and be eligible to obtain a passport.Must pass Security background screening process.Ability to handle materials safely and lift up to 50 lbs.Become a functional and dependable part of a team.Must be able to work over-time as needed.Work Environment/Corporate CultureThe work environment is one of a Professional Office9/80 Work schedule or as assigned by Production Manager.Full benefits package including medical, dental, STD, LTD, GTL, 401K, Holidays, Vacation, paid time off to eligible employees.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
