DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES * The primary focus of this role is to proactively seek out new business opportunities and cultivate lasting relationships with local and regional decision-makers. Your goal will be to transform these key contacts into loyal, repeat clients, ensuring a steady growth in partnerships and revenue. * Craft high-quality, customized presentations tailored to both new and existing accounts, showcasing the unique value of our offerings. * Maintain precise revenue forecasts, updating projections on a rolling three-month basis to ensure alignment with fiscal objectives. * Consistently meet or exceed sales targets as established by management. * Host and entertain clients, which may include weekend and evening commitments, to foster strong business relationships. * Strictly adhere to station policies concerning pricing, merchandising, commercial content, and competitive product protection to uphold our market position. * Stay informed about industry trends and competitive dynamics, ensuring our strategy remains proactive and responsive. * Uphold the highest standards of integrity and ethics in all business dealings. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE * Minimum of 3-5 years in media sales with a proven track record of successfully managing accounts, particularly those generating revenues exceeding $100k, independent of ratings-based selling. Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills are essential. * A college degree is preferred. REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES * Licensing: Must possess a valid driver's license and a vehicle with appropriate insurance coverage. * Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. The ability to effectively use these tools to create impactful presentations is preferred. * Research Skills: Must be adept at using research to enhance presentations, demonstrating the ability to apply data appropriately and effectively. * Sales Techniques: Strong capabilities in cold calling with a track record of securing in-person appointments. * Organizational Skills: Demonstrated high degree of time management and organizational abilities. * Performance Under Pressure: Ability to work effectively and efficiently under pressure and stress. * Independence: Demonstrated initiative and the capacity to manage one's own business with minimal supervision.
