Production Team Member

SUMMARYResponsible for daily production activities including the efficient, timely manufacturing of production batches.Reports to shift supervisor and production manager. Substitutes for the shift supervisor if designated by theproduction manager.RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES include the following:* Manufacturing batches of intermediates and finished goods, including loading and unloading of productionvessels. Maintaining production records.* Receiving raw materials and shipping finished goods* Complying with production batch sheets, SOPs, GMPs and safety programs* Monitoring Filter CCP* Performing preventative maintenance tasks as directed* Maintaining safety focus at all times* Performing HACCP and Food Defense tasks as directed* Communication with Shift Supervisor, Production Manager or Materials Coordinator on production issues* Reporting any food safety and quality problems to Food Safety Manager and Site Manager to initiate action* Other duties as may be assignedJob RequirementsEXPERIENCE: Prefer 1+ Years experience in a batch manufacturing or similar companyQUALIFICATIONS: Good forklift driving experience, math and reading skillsPHYSICAL DEMANDS: Moving valves and operating pumps and mixers. Raw material handling using a forklift, fixedpiping, flexible hoses and lifting by hand. Must be able to lift approximately 50lb drums and bags. May be hotproduction environment, especially during the summer.WORK ENVIRONMENT: Manufacturing and warehousing facility for food grade products. Company operatesunder a HACCP plan and GMPs.1st shift: 7am - 3:30pm2nd shift 3pm - 11:30pm
