Shipping & Receiving Clerk

Since 1917, Globe Machine has been a manufacturer of industrial machines, systems, and plants for advanced composites, building products, and pulp & paper industries. The Shipping and Receiving Clerk will be responsible for the fulfillment of custom orders, facilitating crating and packaging and assisting with overall shipping and receiving duties. The ideal candidate will possess a positive attitude, strong attention to detail and thrive in a fast-paced, team environment. Position will be located in Tacoma, WA. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Serve as point person for the fulfillment of Globe's custom orders. * Utilize table, radial arm, and panel saws as well as pneumatic nail and staple guns to build crates. * Facilitate the crating and packaging of all orders preventing damage while in transit. * Unpackage, inspect, and reconcile items against purchase orders. * Assist with general tasks associated with shipping and receiving including maintaining files. * Load and unload trucks utilizing a forklift. * Serve as delivery driver for local needs from time to time. * Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: * Previous experience in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred. * Must be over 21 years of age. * Familiarity with an ERP system required; Made2Manage experience a plus. * Proven experience operating table, radial arm and panel saws required. * Proven experience operating pneumatic nail and staple guns required. * Forklift experience required. * Valid driver's license and a clean driving record required. * Ability to competently drive a standard transmission vehicle required. * Ability to work in cold temperatures and climb stairs and ladders required. * Experience with UPS World Ship and Fed Ex Ship Manager a plus. * CDL Class A license strongly preferred. * Proven track record of being organized, detailed, accurate, self-motivated, working with minimal supervision, and partnering with diverse team members required. * Strong written and verbal communication skills a must. * Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently, retain a sense of urgency and meet strict timelines required. * Conduct oneself with the highest level of professionalism and ethnical standards. All employees of Globe MUST be able to pass a drug test and background check. Our industry is "safety sensitive" and we do require a negative cannabis drug screen as well.
