Production Supervisor

Reporting to: Plant ManagerPay Structure: SalaryPurpose of the position:Lead 3rd shift hourly production employees to ensure they are sustaining positive safety, quality, productivity and cost in assigned areas to meet our customer expectations on time.Primary Duties & Responsibilities:Maintain hourly/daily schedule attainment & assist with any equipment issuesWork closely with the other Production Leads to achieve daily schedules, quality, safety requirementsRoutinely audit standard work adherenceProvide training & onboarding to new employeesAdminister levels of disciplineContinuous Improvement/Lean Principles:Ability to identify and eliminate areas of wasteLead team in lean initiatives such as continuous improvement events and problem-solving activitiesQuality:Support quality system by assuring the team achieves quality standardsSafety:Consistently adhere to, and support, company policies and procedures.Leadership Expectations:Must treat all employees with dignity & respectMust support the values of the companyProvide oversight to achieve metrics through team-based problem solvingBackground Required:Operating knowledge of the equipment and related processesGood oral and written communication skillsBasic computer skills including Microsoft office productsAbility to stand, walk, bend and twist for up to 10 hoursMinimum Qualifications:3-5 years of supervisory experienceManufacturing Experience preferredHigh School Diploma Required, Associates/Bachelor's degree preferredJob Type: Full-timeBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceHealth insuranceLife insurance (company paid and additional optional coverage)Paid time offTuition reimbursementVision coverage (internal benefit)Accident & Critical Illness (optional coverage)Schedule:10 hour shift ((as needed)8 hour shift (Currently running 8 hours)Monday to Friday (Sunday night to Friday morning)Weekends as neededExperience:Automotive manufacturing: 2 years (Preferred)Supervising: 3 years (Required)Work Location: In person - Kentwood MI
