Shermco Industries, Inc. is seeking an MSD Field Service Technician. Job Responsibilities * Power transformer testing - Doble, TTR, Insulation Resistance, etc. * Test both electro-mechanical and solid state relays * Cable testing - Tan Delta, Power Factor, VLF, DC Hipot * Automatic transfer switch troubleshooting * Low, Medium and High voltage switchgear and circuit breaker testing * Moderately complex relay calibration and power metering. * Rotate emergency on-call duty and if called respond to customer emergencies in a timely manner Requirements * Has all the requirements of and is able to perform all the tasks of an MSD Field Service Apprentice * Has Completed CPR / First Aid / Blood Born Pathogen training * Has Completed the SESP1 (Shermco Electrical Safety Program 1) training * Has completed Shermco LOTO training * Has Completed the ESQEW (Electrical Safety for the Qualified Electrical Worker) training * Able to operate basic off-line test equipment with minimal supervision (Voltmeter, Ohmmeter, Megger, DLRO, Etc.) * Understand the basics of motor and generator assemblies (nomenclature) * Able to collect vibration data with minimal supervision * Able to operate hydraulics and pullers with no supervision * Properly charge out materials, complete job paperwork and turn in receipts * Must be able to ascertain and carry out specified work instructions and customer requirements proficiently EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER | DRUG-FREE WORKPLACE Shermco is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
