With a reputation for excellence, our client is looking to add a skilled and experienced Quality Assurance (QA) / Quality Control (QC) Manager to their team. About the PositionAs a Quality Assurance / Quality Control Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that all construction projects meet the highest standards of quality and compliance. This role involves overseeing the project’s quality control and assurance systems and collaborating with subcontractors to ensure that work is completed according to project specifications and within safety guidelines. You will also manage the testing and commissioning processes, ensuring projects are completed on schedule, per specifications, and within budget. Key Responsibilities: Attend preconstruction meetings with subcontractors to discuss submittals, RFIs, and materials. Monitor and assess the implementation of Project Quality Management and Quality Control Systems. Develop and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to evaluate subcontractor performance throughout the project lifecycle. Ensure that all subcontractor activities meet quality standards, including delivered materials and purchase orders. Conduct field reviews and inspections to verify that construction methods and applications meet approved standards. Maintain a status register and follow up on action items to ensure timely resolution of any issues. Prepare testing and commissioning method statements in collaboration with vendors, contractors, and project owners. Coordinate final project handover, including the preparation of QC/QA documents and reports. Create and manage the punch list process to ensure all deficiencies are addressed before project completion. Requirements A Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, Engineering, or a related field (preferred). At least 6 years of experience in the implementation of QA/QC practices within the construction industry. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with customers, coworkers, and subcontractors. Previous experience with LAUSD projects and DSA (Division of the State Architect) projects is preferred. ICC/OSHPD Inspector with current California State Certification is highly preferred. Excellent understanding of QA/QC implementation and ability to manage and communicate requirements to subcontractors.
