Associate or Full Professor (HS Clinical, Clinical X, In-Residence, Adjunct) Director of Cardiac Imaging University of California San Diego Position overview Position title: Director of Cardiac Imaging Salary range: The posted UC Salary scales set the minimum pay at the appointment as determined by appointment type and if applicable, rank and/or step. The base pay range for this position is $450,000-$500,000. Salary is negotiated annually. Position description The Department of Medicine ( ), Division of Cardiovascular Medicine ( ), and the Cardiovascular Institute at UC San Diego are committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff, and student body and are actively recruiting for a Director of Cardiac Imaging.The selected candidate will oversee both clinical and administrative operations. The selected candidate will be responsible for patient care, interpretation of non-invasive studies (CT and MR), conducting research, and training and teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.The appropriate series and appointment at the Associate or Full Professor level will be based on the candidate's background and experience. Qualifications Basic qualifications (required at time of application)Candidates must have an MD or equivalent degree and be Board-certified or Board-eligible in Non-Invasive Cardiology or a related field. Candidates must also either possess or be eligible for a California medical license or an equivalent certification/permit as determined by the Medical Board of California.
