Reporting to the Sr. Director, Marketing Finance, you will support all aspects of planning, analysis, and reporting specific to Red Bull Media House, Partnerships, and international projects. You will be responsible for the consolidation of the Media House legal entity during planning and close.You will manage approximately $100M in combined budget and be the main business partner for the SVP of Media Network and VP of Partnerships. You will partner with related sub-departments and support in resource allocation, evaluating direct and indirect spend, and driving reporting and forecasting.All the responsibilities we'll trust you with: PLANNING AND REPORTING Own planning management for FRE/SRE/BP. You will take a key role in coordinating the planning process across all Media House departments to ensure their financial targets are achieved. Support the Business Plan/Revised Estimate process via timeline communication, template creation, and acquiring the required inputs from budget owners to load into BI. Challenge and influence the budget owners during the planning process, according to business priorities and strategies. Develop a methodology to drive the allocation of resources within your respective departments. Prepare and distribute a detailed monthly report to assist department heads in managing their direct and indirect spends. This includes commentary on brand, project/internal order, account, and cost centers. Perform controlling activities for preventing budget overspend by overseeing the actual marketing and indirect expenses recorded in the month. Establish regular budget reviews to understand results, ensuring adherence to controlling guidelines and potential impacts to full-year estimates. Analyze data and trends to identify budget risks or opportunities and propose alternatives.PERIOD CLOSING Drive the monthly and annual period closings, including the communication of the closing timeline within the team. Coordinate the monthly accrual process by following the cost-revenue matching principle (i.e., accrual accounting). Manage constant improvements to the monthly close and accrual process. Ensure actuals post in accordance with controlling guidelines by identifying and correcting any potential IO/GL combination errors. Reconcile systems (SAP/BI/Hyperion).BUSINESS PARTNERSHIP Partner with department leads and their teams to develop an understanding of their departmental priorities and strategies. Establish trust with business partners by having a service mentality while also challenging them by asking questions and providing suggestions and insights. Partner with budget owners to increase the effectiveness of resource allocations and ensure overall budget adherence. Provide leadership on important initiatives while being the Finance lead on key projects. Turn fact-based insights into action, influencing business partners to create actionable plans. Hold on-site and online trainings for marketing team members to understand financial processes and requirements.PROJECT SUPPORT Support in special projects intended to drive new insights to the business while enhancing Finance team development. Collect CAPEX needs from the Media House organization and communicate/align with Finance stakeholders. Support structural changes (new profit centers, IO creation, hierarchies). Provide year-end Audit support. Partner with RBNA FP&A to drive reporting process improvements. Help with the implementation and communication of Global financial initiatives intended to improve overall cost controlling.TEAM DEVELOPMENT Teach direct and indirect reports on the Marketing Finance team, providing guidance on best practices to succeed in their role and within the organization. Drive adherence to Talent processes via annual goal setting, development plans, and performance conversations. Hold the team accountable to their performance expectations via ongoing feedback conversations and coaching. Provide training to the team to enable them to become subject matter experts on financial processes (e.g., MEC, planning), financial requirements (e.g., controlling guidelines, accounting policies), and financial systems (e.g., BI, SAP). Develop onboarding materials to improve the training of new employees.Your areas of knowledge and expertise that matter most for this role: Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting/Business from an accredited college or university. 5+ years experience in Finance; prior CPG or Media experience a plus. Excellent Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills, familiarity with any integrated business analysis tool (SAP BI/Hyperion). Must be self-motivated and proactive and be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced team environment. The base salary range for this position is $124,000 to $186,000 + cash incentive. Actual salary offer may vary based on work experience.
