Position Summary The Director of Investments will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing Legacy Knight's investment strategy across our Family Office, OCIO, and direct/co-investment platforms. The role will work closely with the firm's partners and investment committee to oversee asset allocation, portfolio construction, investment selection, and risk management. In this role, you will: Lead investment strategy by advising on asset allocation and assisting with the management of client portfolios. Drive investment performance by sourcing, evaluating, and overseeing public and private investments. Enhance our investment platform by fostering manager relationships and identifying market opportunities. Engage with clients where appropriate to ensure alignment with their investment goals. Provide thought leadership through written and verbal market insights. This is an exciting opportunity to influence a growing firm's investment approach and contribute to its long-term success. Primary Responsibilities Shape and articulate Legacy Knight's investment philosophy and long-term vision. Participate in and lead investment committee discussions and decision-making. Optimize asset allocation strategies in alignment with client objectives. Stay ahead of market trends, macroeconomic shifts, and emerging investment opportunities. Investment Management Design and manage multi-asset class portfolios tailored to client needs. Conduct due diligence on public and private investment opportunities. Monitor portfolio performance, risk, and adherence to client-specific guidelines. Oversee investment policy statements and ensure alignment with financial goals. Investment Platform Development Maintain and enhance the firm's investment platform to remain competitive. Build and strengthen relationships with investment managers across asset classes. Continuously assess new investment opportunities and market innovations. Communicate platform updates and performance insights to clients and internal teams. Development and oversight of investment management systems and tools. Client Engagement & Communication Provide clear, insightful communication on investment strategies and market conditions. Assist in developing and updating investment policy statements for clients. Review and provide recommendations on external investment opportunities clients may consider. Collaborate with the family office team to address evolving client needs. Thought Leadership & Content Development Lead investment-related communications, ensuring consistency and clarity. Publish white papers, market insights, and other thought leadership content. Present investment updates and market trends to clients and internal stakeholders. Team Management: Cultivate a high-performance investment team as the firm continues to grow. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and implement strong risk management practices. Qualifications & Experience 7-15 years in investment management, ideally with a family office, RIA, asset manager, broker-dealer, foundation, or endowment. Proven expertise in public and private markets, with experience constructing multi-asset class portfolios. Strong understanding of global financial markets and economic trends. Ability to think strategically and develop innovative investment solutions. Exceptional communication skills to engage with clients and internal partners.
