Position Summary Riverstone Logistics is seeking an experienced Director of IT - Systems, Infrastructure, and Cybersecurity to lead the design, implementation, and management of our fully cloud-based enterprise IT infrastructure. This role will oversee cloud systems, networking, and cybersecurity, ensuring they are secure, scalable, and optimized for business growth. The Director will lead a team of 5-10 direct reports, including Systems Administrators, Network Engineers, and Cybersecurity Engineers, and will play a critical role in supporting the company's expansion to 100+ locations over the next three years by developing a scalable IT platform. This position reports to the CIO and will work closely with the Head of IT, who oversees System Development, Help Desk Support, and IT Agility. Leaders at Riverstone Logistics are expected to lead by example, roll up their sleeves, and remove any impediments slowing down the team. This role requires approximately 20% travel. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Cloud Infrastructure & Systems Management Develop and execute the company's cloud-first IT strategy, ensuring reliability, scalability, and security. Oversee the management and optimization of cloud-based IT environments, including Microsoft 365, Azure, and enterprise applications. Lead the network infrastructure transition from Ubiquiti to Cisco Meraki, ensuring performance and security. Ensure the seamless operation of enterprise systems such as Netsuite, Concur, Canoe (ERP), Jira, Zoom, and cybersecurity platforms. Implement IT asset management strategies to optimize hardware, software, and cloud expenditures. Cybersecurity & Compliance Lead cybersecurity initiatives, ensuring compliance with industry standards and protecting company data and systems. Manage the transition from Arctic Wolf to CrowdStrike, ensuring strong cybersecurity monitoring and response. Oversee risk assessments, security audits, and compliance with SOC 2, ISO 27001, and NIST frameworks. Establish and enforce policies for cybersecurity governance, vulnerability management, and access controls. Drive cybersecurity awareness and training across the organization. Cloud Networking & IT Modernization Oversee the Network of the Future pilot, ensuring that cloud networking and security solutions are optimized for multi-location scalability. Lead the expansion of IT infrastructure to 100+ locations over the next three years, ensuring seamless cloud connectivity and security. Improve IT operations through automation, AI, and cloud-first strategies. Leadership & Team Development Lead and develop a high-performing team of 5-10 direct reports, including Systems Administrators, Network Engineers, and Cybersecurity Engineers. Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement. Work closely with the Head of IT to align infrastructure, cybersecurity, and system development strategies. Act as a hands-on leader, removing impediments and providing guidance to ensure the team executes effectively. Build strong relationships with vendors, cloud service providers, and security partners. Strategic Initiatives & Innovation Partner with the Technology Council to evaluate and implement emerging cloud and cybersecurity technologies. Ensure the IT infrastructure supports the scalable 3PL logistics platform being developed. Oversee the implementation of digital signage and other modern workplace technologies. Drive operational excellence by analyzing and acting on penetration testing results and cybersecurity assessments. Qualifications & Skills 10+ years of IT leadership experience, with 5+ years in cloud infrastructure, networking, and cybersecurity leadership. Proven expertise in enterprise cloud IT architecture, cybersecurity, cloud networking, and IT operations. Experience with Microsoft 365, Azure, Cisco Meraki, CrowdStrike, and enterprise SaaS solutions. Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST, CIS) and compliance best practices. Hands-on experience leading network transformation projects, cloud security implementations, and enterprise IT modernization. Ability to lead by example, remove roadblocks, and drive cloud and cybersecurity initiatives forward. Excellent leadership, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills. Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; relevant certifications (CISSP, CISM, CCSP, etc.) are a plus. Ability to travel approximately 20% to support company expansion.
