Project Developer - Solar | ENGIE North America | Chicago, IL (Hybrid, Full-Time) Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid) Salary: $84,000 - $128,800 + Bonus + Benefits Job Type: Full-Time About the Role ENGIE North America is expanding its Distributed Solar and Storage (DSS) division and seeks a Project Developer - Solar to support site origination, permitting, land acquisition, and project development across multiple states. This role is pivotal in accelerating renewable energy deployment and advancing ENGIE's sustainability goals . As part of the ENGIE DSS team , you will work on solar and solar + storage projects , ensuring seamless execution from site selection to pre-construction phases . Key Responsibilities Support multi-project solar & storage portfolios across different U.S. states. Conduct due diligence to assess project feasibility , mitigate risks, and ensure compliance with legal and environmental standards. Maintain and update project pipeline data , tracking various development stages . Assist in preparing and presenting market reviews & project status reports to internal stakeholders. Collaborate with teams handling land acquisition, permitting, pre-construction, and regulatory approvals . Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, or related fields. 2+ years of experience managing multiple projects & stakeholders in renewable energy development. General understanding of renewable energy market trends and regulatory frameworks. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills . Ability to travel domestically (25%) for site visits and project coordination. Must be willing to comply with ENGIE's ethics and safety policies . Why Join ENGIE?
