A large subspecialized neurosurgical practice in the Mid-Atlantic is seeking a pediatric neurosurgeon. This hire will be the first pediatric neurosurgeon in the practice and will be expected to help launch and develop pediatric neurosurgery services and centers of excellence. The practice is fully committed to growing the pediatric neurosurgery service line and sees significant opportunity in working with the pediatric sub-specialists within the health system. The practice prides itself on being at the forefront of neurosurgical advancement while never losing sight of the most important job of a neurosurgeon: delivering personalized, empathetic, and effective patient care. The practice emphasizes innovation and creating personalized approaches to treatment, and always keeps up to date with the latest advancements in the field. Patients who are living in other states, and even other countries, have been known to seek care from this cutting-edge practice. The new hire will primarily admit to a 700-bed Trauma Center in a bustling town. The hospital has a newly constructed 15-bed PICU with a dedicated pediatric intensive care team, pediatric hospitalist service and a dedicated pediatric ER. In addition, they offer pediatric subspecialty services including pediatric epilepsy, oncology, neurology and ophthalmology. The hospital also has 24/7 adult neuro-intensivists and neurohospitalists on staff, as well as state-of-the-art equipment, including an O-Arm and a C-Arm. Newsweek considered this center a World's Best Hospital in 2023, ranking it in the top 50 of more than 2300 hospitals included. The healthcare system is also partnered with a university hospital that has a well-developed pediatric subspecialty service line, including pediatric neurology and their subspecialties. Practice Highlights: As the only pediatric neurosurgeon within the practice, the new hire will be expected to take pediatric call. Call is low volume, not burdensome, and paid. There is an option for the new hire to take general, spine, or trauma call if they wish to augment the growth of their practice and maintain their skill set in adult neurosurgery. This is encouraged, but not required. Expected case volume is ~75-100 in year one and 150+ once established. Referrals will come from the affiliated health system's outstanding pediatric specialists, as well as local pediatric practices. 24/7 NPs on staff who assist with rounding, clinic, and OR. Excellent payor mix. Excellent compensation plan including base salary and productivity bonus partly based on collections and partly quality and citizenship goals. Call pay available for pediatric call as well. Partnership track. Area Highlights: The town is regularly named among the best towns to live in the United States, offering a welcoming community, a low crime rate, trendy local coffee shops, and terrific outdoor activities. Downtown offers an award-winning community theater as well as boutique stores and excellent restaurants. #J-18808-Ljbffr
