Job ID: 2893203 | Amazon.com Services LLC - A57 The Amazon Canada's Hardlines team is seeking a self-driven Vendor Manager candidate to support our Vendor Management team and our vendor partners. Vendor Managers work directly with vendors to improve value, selection and convenience across their business. They play a critical role in managing strategic and established brands to drive profitability and topline performance for their category. The Vendor Manager will have the opportunity to engage with multiple internal teams to optimize product line performance for key manufacturers (vendors) on Amazon.ca. They will utilize strong communication skills to collaborate with internal cross-functional partners, such as site merchandising, buying, pricing, inventory management, operations, online marketing, and finance to drive performance for our Amazon.ca vendor partners. This position provides the candidate an opportunity to execute analytical deep dives that help inform category growth strategies and initiatives. In addition to gaining vendor management experience, this candidate will have exposure in driving category growth. Amazon.ca Vendor Managers have the unique opportunity to work at the most innovative online retailer, while developing strong functional skills in online merchandising/marketing, buying, planning/forecasting, pricing, and business analytics. RESPONSIBILITIES: Vendor Managers conceive, create and analyze a wide range of levers to drive vendor growth, brand awareness, negotiations and topline revenue on Amazon.ca. This role is also responsible for inventory management, product launches, pricing, and conducting detailed analysis to identify opportunities to drive growth for the vendor and Amazon.ca. Vendor Manager roles are in the General Management career path at Amazon. The General Management career path offers the opportunity for advancement into a variety of roles including Marketing/Merchandising, Vendor Management, Product Management and Inventory Management. Key job responsibilities The Brand Specialist role on Amazon Canada's Toys team offers an exciting introduction to online retail and serves as a broad training ground for future success. This position involves working directly with strategic toy vendors to grow their businesses and optimize supply chains on Amazon.ca. The Brand Specialist will collaborate with multiple internal teams, including In-stock, Vendor Management, and Site Merchandising, as well as management to develop and execute strategies that grow and improve the toy product portfolio. Key responsibilities include managing vendor partnerships, enhancing performance indicators, optimizing supply chains, and contributing to site merchandising efforts to improve the overall toy shopping experience. This role requires an experienced brand manager capable of both strategic thinking and tactical execution, who can develop skills across various functional areas of e-commerce. The ideal candidate will balance long-term planning with immediate action, applying their expertise to grow the toy category on Amazon.ca while gaining valuable exposure to different aspects of the online retail business. A day in the life Acting as the "˜business owner' for his or her vendors in their respective categories, possessing a complete understanding of internal and external variables that impact the business Owning forecasting, monitoring, understanding and reporting on vendors, along with responsibility for driving strategic supply chain projects and promotions to achieve business objectives Proactively negotiating costs, promotional opportunities, and other business inputs for the vendor "” autonomously Conducting pricing and ROI analysis and making recommendations for initiatives that optimize profit margin Managing Purchase Orders and In-Stock analysis for the strategic brands Optimizing the online presence and content of each product on the brand's portfolio Developing and executing marketing plans in order to drive awareness and purchases for the brand Driving cross-category initiatives to improve operational process and deliver results About the team Our team has a strong culture of hard working individuals that value flexibility, ownership, and ability to create our own priorities. Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $48,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $103,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
