Junior Application Security Engineer

Base pay range $25.00/hr - $35.00/hr Responsibilities Kforce has a client in Minneapolis, MN that is seeking a Junior Application Security Engineer. The role will start with a 6-month contract, could go another year or potential convert within operating model or strategy. In this entry-level role, you will primarily focus on onboarding security tooling, maintaining documentation, and supporting developers in integrating security into the development process. Key Responsibilities Onboarding Security Tooling (Checkmarx, SysDig, WiZ, GitGuardian) Manage Security Exceptions with SDLC Writing Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) Documentation Support Developers and Engineers Continuous Improvement Requirements Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience 1 to 2 years of experience in IT, development, DevOps, or a related technical role (internship or academic experience will also be considered) Experience writing documentation Someone onsite is preferred, if they go into a longer-term position for collaboration; if we can't find someone local, then will look remote Kforce is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
