Senior Attorney Practice Area: Commercial Construction Litigation Location: Miami, FL OR Ft. Lauderdale Offices Hybrid/Onsite Schedule: Full-time, 1800 billable requirement, Hybrid 3/2, flexible with schedule Salary: $175,000 to $225,000 per year (commensurate with experience) The Client: A rapidly expanding Am Law 200 firm with a strong presence is seeking an experienced Construction Litigation Attorney to join its Miami office. With its recent acquisition of a boutique civil defense firm, the firm is reinforcing its capabilities in professional liability, construction, and insurance-related litigation. This is a unique opportunity for a highly skilled litigator to play a key role in a growing practice, handling complex construction disputes with autonomy. Description: The ideal candidate will have extensive experience handling construction litigation matters, including contract disputes, defect claims, insurance-related litigation, and professional liability defense for contractors, architects, and engineers. This role requires an attorney who can work independently while also contributing to a collaborative team environment. The position offers a high level of responsibility, including client interaction, case strategy development, and trial preparation. Responsibilities: Handle all aspects of construction litigation from inception to resolution. Represent contractors, developers, design professionals, and insurers in disputes involving defects, delays, and contract enforcement. Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery requests; conduct depositions and hearings. Develop litigation strategies and provide risk assessments to clients. Manage a caseload independently while maintaining strong client relationships. Participate in mediation, arbitration, and trial proceedings as necessary. Qualifications: Minimum of 7 years of experience as a practicing attorney. At least 3+ years focused on construction litigation. Strong litigation experience, including motion practice, depositions, and trial preparation. Knowledge of construction contracts, insurance coverage, and defect litigation. Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases efficiently. Excellent legal writing and oral advocacy skills. Active bar license in Florida in good standing. #J-18808-Ljbffr
