The Lead Network Engineer is responsible for architecting, standardizing, documenting, implementing and supporting Duly Clinical and Administrative office(s) network infrastructure for critical reliability and maximum uptime. This role will serve as a LAN/WAN expert and responsibilities will entail recommending and supporting the selection, development, deployment, monitoring, maintenance, and enhancement of DMG's network technologies for both traditional network and Azure networking. The role will be responsible for leading the network engineering group with direct reports. Responsibilities What you will do: Design, implement and maintain (break/fix) all network platform technologies including Cisco-based LAN, WAN, Wireless, VOIP and Security (50%) Establish and maintain the physical and logical architecture of all network components Perform switching/routing, load balancing and firewall administration Diagnose and resolve complex configuration and troubleshooting issues within a multi-vendor, multi-site infrastructure Ensure network fail-over capabilities between critical operational components and data centers Leadership Responsibilities (20%) Manage and provide technical guidance or training to mid-level and junior staff of the network group. Handle escalations, resolve issues for mid-level and junior staff. Define standards and best practices for network solutions and maintaining the network including creating and documenting processes/procedures related to network design, monitoring, security and disaster recovery (20%) Ensure all network topology, technology solutions, team and individual workflow is documented and updated regularly Establish and maintain technical standards and configurations Document and perform change requests/management as necessary Establish, monitor, evaluate, and report key performance and key risk indicators (KPIs and KRIs) to provide leadership with visibility into the effectiveness of the Network Infrastructure (10%) Monitor network operations to identify performance and capacity issues Measure volume and performance of network traffic Identify utilization and performance issues Develop plans and implement new technologies and services to satisfy capacity and performance requirements Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree in business, information systems or related field. Experience: 10+ years of experience in Network Design or Network Engineering 7 or more years of experience administering complex network environments 5 or more years of experience configuring Cisco IOS 5 or more years of experience with Layer 2 and Layer 3 protocols 2 or more years of experience with Azure Networking ATT SD Velo WAN experience a plus Megaport Cloud experience a plus Previous healthcare experience is a plus Certification: Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) required. Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) is a plus Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) is a plus Skills: Strong proficiency with the configuration, troubleshooting, proper operation and best practices of Layer 2 protocols (i.e. Spanning-tree, 802.3ad Link Aggregation, 802.1q Trunking, LLDP/CDP, etc.), Layer 3 protocols (ARP, VRRP/HSRP, OSPF, OSPFv3, BGPv4) Security protocols (IPsec and SSL with respect to VPN) Strong knowledge of TCP/IP network protocols (e.g. SSH, HTTP(S), SMTP, etc), other than those above, and their proper operation Strong knowledge of technologies related to SD-WAN, VPNs, Azure Networking, QoS, VRF's, and Traffic Engineering Ability to troubleshoot using packet capture, data analysis and other common means and to suggest and/or implement configuration changes to correct issues and maximize performance. Strong communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills Ability to manage vendor/supplier relationships, including contract negotiation, ongoing maintenance and support as well as problem-resolution Ability to travel to company sites as needed Ability to work nights and weekends as needed for deployments or trouble resolution Ability to be on-call rotation for network support Knowledge of ISO27001 is a plus Knowledge of HITRUST is a plus The compensation for this role includes a base pay range of $99K-$149K, with the actual pay determined by factors such as skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity.
