Job Title: Supercapacitor Application Engineer Job Description: The Supercapacitor Application Engineer designs and provides Supercapacitor Module solutions to support customer applications, ensuring a high-value solution that satisfies customer requirements and applications. Growth in sales is an expected result of good project management. Background: Interests in New Energy, IoT, AGV, Battery Backup, power supply, inverter, converter, energy storage, and power applications are required. Key Responsibilities Application Engineering (AE) Initial focus on Supercapacitor product with future support of other technologies. Supercapacitor module design is a primary responsibility. Manage engineering projects and sizing modules from concept to mass production. Provide technical, engineering, and specification support for New Product Introductions. Provide customers with key features & specifications of CDE products. Technical Documentation Generate charts and graphs as needed per series based on factory information and internal test results. Generate supporting data for marketing assets promoting the benefits and capabilities of our products. Generate information for CAD drawings required. Training Provide application and product training to customers and the sales channels. Product Performance Analysis Manage life test lab equipment. Life Test data analysis for factory and module design evaluation. Verify factory manufacturing quality by performing our own internal tests, recording data. Skills, Knowledge and Expertise Requirements Location: On-Site in Itasca, IL Education: Bachelor's Degree in Electronics Engineering Computer Skills Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook Intermediate level of: CAD, PCB Layout, Altium, Solid Works, Auto Cad-Inventor, Fusion 360, Python Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Previous Proven Experience Energy storage solutions background. Understand and design Active and Passive Balancing Circuits. BMS design solutions. Charge and Discharge circuit design solutions. Experience with Arbin or other Battery/Supercapacitor testing equipment. 3 - 5 years technical applications experience required. Customer facing engineering opportunities via MS Teams, Email, Phone, or by In-person visits. Travel Required: 10 - 20%. Benefits Competitive salary and benefits package. We are committed to providing a competitive and fair total compensation package for all employees. The starting base pay for this role is $110,000 to $135,000 per year. Individual compensation decisions are based on various factors, including but not limited to previous experience and skills acquired prior to joining us, cost of living in the assigned work location, assigned schedule, and salaries of similarly situated peers at the company.
