Job Responsibilities Provide security protection to the CEO, Presidents and select SET members and their immediate families. Transport executives and approved passengers to and from corporate facilities, affiliate facilities, special events, and specified locations within local and outlying areas. Maintain good levels of interpersonal skills to exchange information, answer questions, interact with senior executives and greet passengers. Identify and avoid potential hazardous situations and/or life-threatening situations and provide cover and remove executives and passengers from harm to a safe location. Maintain ESS materials and resources; conduct training for Executive Assistants whose Principals are traveling outside the USA; interface with the Department of State for such matters as overseas trip registration, security alerts, general intelligence, and with the U.S. Transportation Security Administration. Liaise with public sector law enforcement and private sector security specialists on safety and security related matters. Must have the ability to function and use sound judgment in high profile situations to include oral and written communication skills and have analytical skills to handle and prioritize executive protection responsibilities vs. other duties. Plan routes of travel, implement a diversion plan when necessary, and ensure a safe and uneventful transport. Meet and maintain NJ State Police SORA Armed Officer requirements for certification, as well as adherence to all state and federal firearm carry laws. Conduct pre-trip advanced security checks of venues that will be visited by Corporate Executives and senior leadership/management when needed. Maintain the highest level of confidentiality with regards to Corporate Executives to include family contact information, residence locations, and residence security systems. Communicate schedule information/updates to executive assistants as requested. Partner with SET Executive Assistant to coordinate and prioritize business and personal responsibilities. Ensure Executive is kept on schedule and on time for meetings daily and notify stakeholders appropriately. Coordinate travel arrangements including flights, hotels, ground transportation. Assist with investigation of any direct or indirect threats. Assess risks, vulnerabilities and threats on an ongoing basis. Create exit plans based on where clients spend most of their time. Perform surveillance while a client is at a particular place. Ensure no other individuals or companies are participating in counter surveillance. Make recommendations to the VP Corporate Security & Properties to improve processes. Job Specific Qualifications Required Qualifications, Competencies, Education or Experience At least 10 years of related experience or active/retired law enforcement. Must possess a valid New Jersey driver's license with a safe and satisfactory driving record; have highly technical driving skills, expertise in driving regulations, and knowledge of basic automobile mechanics. Military experience, or have documented experience in executive protection or other transferable skill areas. Experience partnering with local, state, and federal law enforcement. Must be highly adaptable and resourceful. Self-motivated. Demonstrated organizational skills. Have problem solving skills to handle and prioritize executive requests vs. other duties. Must be results/goal oriented, decision maker and strategic planner with critical thinking capabilities with ability to work autonomously. Proficient in current Microsoft office suite including excel, point, word, and virtual meeting and communication tools such as Teams. Personal and professional standards of integrity and compassion. Must possess strong oral and written communication skills. A valid Real ID or an approved forms of alternate documentation is required for this job. Successful candidate must provide appropriate documentation to meet access requirements within 30 days of hire. Desired Qualifications, Competencies, Education or Experience Preferred Security Membership(s), including from ASIS, International Security Drivers Association (ISDA), etc. Possess successful completion of training in defensive tactics, de-escalation, emergency/ evasive vehicle operations, surveillance/ counter surveillance operations, first aid training or other related fields. Eligibility to obtain New Jersey firearm license.
