Milwaukee Valve Company is seeking to add a Senior Applications Engineer to our team at our facility in New Berlin, WI. This position is 100% on-site with no opportunity to commute remotely. This is a salaried-exempt position with a starting wage commensurate on qualifications. Summary: Serves as a technical liaison between customers, Field Sales, Inside Sales, Marketing, Quality, and the Engineering department, pertaining to both segments of the business - Marine and Commercial & Industrial. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Technical Support: Provide day-to-day technical support for Sales and customers regarding product applications and end-user needs. Inter-Departmental Collaboration: Serve as a liaison between customers, Engineering, Quality, and the Sales departments to ensure customer needs are being met. Marine Contract Review: Provide "front-end" RFQ/PO contract review for adherence to sales order contract requirements. Marine/Naval Qualifications: Coordinate Naval product shock and vibration qualifications and other approvals as needed. Naval Drawing Review: Review revision updates to Naval drawings and evaluate all changes for engineering or manufacturing impact. Marine Contract Execution: Address and resolve issues that may arise to fulfill Marine contract requirements. Documentation: Submit appropriate procedures, produce Marine contract deliverables/drawings, and assist Marketing with technical changes to literature. Continuous Improvement: Recommend and/or implement improvements to engineering procedures, workflow processes, or other internal processes for better efficiency. Training: Participate in conducting training sessions for internal team development or external customer product training. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mechanical. Experience: Minimum of 8 years related engineering experience and/or training. Knowledge of valves or process piping systems is beneficial. Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Experience with 3D modeling and 2D drawings is beneficial (SolidWorks). SAP experience is beneficial. Soft Skills: Strong verbal and written communication, excellent organizational skills, and detail-oriented. Must be proactive, self-motivating, and a team player.
