Job Description We are seeking a Sr. Business Analyst who is motivated by variety, is seeking a challenging environment for professional growth, and is interested in supporting large information technology projects for one of our clients, who is located in Seattle.Location: This position is located in Seattle, WA. Candidates in the area are preferred, but not necessary. Occasional travel may be required if not local. Responsibilities: Be the ambassador and diplomat for the WAMS Program Opportunities Tool and processes. Be the analyst, manager, and coordinator of WAMS Program Opportunities. Work with stakeholders to identify and justify increments of improvement to operational problems, developing future project definitions through analysis of current state business processes and future solutions.Responsible for adding detail and justifications for opportunities identified by stakeholders and users through collaboration and industry experience. Ensure business goals and strategies are reflected in the recommended solution. Work closely with the WAMS Program Manager for identifying and ensuring alignment of opportunities with the City Light Mission and Values. Work with Business Relationship Managers (BRMs) to attain alignment with the Utility Technology Roadmap for incremental business opportunities. Work with the WAMS Solution Architect for alignment of technology and functionality with the City Light blueprint. General Responsibilities Provide recommendations for priorities, budget use, and sequencing of opportunities. Engage and work closely with business customers at all levels from front-line to Executive leadership. Develop preliminary and detailed business requirements, use cases/user stories, software requirements, and process/workflow diagrams. Gather and evaluate information from multiple sources for project planning, requirements gathering, including interpreting high-level information; abstracting from low-level information to a general understanding; and evaluating user requests to perceive the underlying needs of the business. Communicate requirements and opportunities to all levels of the organization and to audiences of varying degrees of technical knowledge. Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of the business processes and the associated IT systems as informed by business staff. Conduct business analysis, including completion of deliverables following the BABOK standards. Develop all deliverables according to the SCL standards and practices - business process documentation with BPM within Visio, RFP template, requirements gathering to include traceability, etc. Support the four-pillar approach to business analysis, including completion of deliverables following the BABOK standards, developing organizational change management plans and deliverables following the Prosci model and ACMP standard, identifying and developing performance metrics, and support continuous improvement objectives. Required Qualifications: Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered for the required qualifications. Bachelors Degree in Business or Computer Science, or equivalent education and/or experience. Minimum of 7 years of business analysis experience implementing technology and business projects within the utility industry, specifically one or more of the following segments: transmission and distribution. Experience with business process modeling, workflows, and data analysis. Demonstrated experience working with implementing COTS systems and/or replacement of legacy systems. Work and Asset Management application experience in Business Analyst capacity. Versed in BABOK standards - inputs, tasks, and outputs. Strong elicitation and communication skills. Experience applying BPMN and business process visualization. Working knowledge of Prosci's ADKAR model. Desired Qualifications: Experience working with Oracle Work and Asset Management application and/or Oracle Work and Assets Cloud Services application. Business Analyst Certification (CCBA or CBAP). Skilled in facilitating requirements gathering sessions with large groups with diverse perspectives; ability to bring groups to consensus. Experience writing project documentation and deliverables. Experience engaging with all levels of management including senior-level executives. Ability to build trust and engagement with project team and business stakeholders. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Experience with organizational change management, Prosci model. Experience with Lean or other Continuous Improvement Processes. Experience with Performance Metrics, development, and monitoring. Experience with RFP process (requirements definition, vendor evaluation, etc.). #J-18808-Ljbffr
