VP of Finance (Remote) Applicants must reside within commuting distance of Washington, DC, for occasional meetings. What You'll Do Provide financial leadership, overseeing budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning to ensure responsible resource allocation. Present key financial insights to the Board, equipping leadership with the data needed for informed decision-making. Act as a strategic partner to executives, Board members, and external stakeholders, fostering strong financial governance and trust. Be a strong communicator with the ability to distill complex financial information into clear, actionable insights for Board presentations, contributing to strategic discussions in multiple meetings annually. Deliver accurate, timely consolidated financial statements across multiple entities, ensuring compliance and clarity. Guide and develop an accounting team, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement. Lead audits, compliance, and regulatory reporting, upholding transparency and accountability. Optimize financial operations, implementing best practices that support efficiency and growth. What You'll Bring 10+ years' progressive accounting leadership experience; not-for-profit space highly desired. CPA certification required. Expertise in consolidated financials across multiple entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Proven ability to build and lead high-performing accounting teams while driving strategic initiatives. Proven experience in preparing and delivering board-level presentations. Strong ability to engage stakeholders and influence decision-making through compelling presentations and clear reporting.
