Role Summary The Data Scientist within the Telematics Processing and Insights team is responsible for developing and implementing data-driven solutions to complex business problems. You will work with a team of data scientists and engineers on a mission to extract value from data for a variety of use cases such as fleet health, infotainment analytics and performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in statistics, machine learning and data mining, as well as experience working with large datasets. Responsibilities Develop and implement data-driven solutions to complex business problems Work with large datasets to identify patterns and trends Build and maintain predictive models Communicate findings to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner Stay up-to-date on the latest developments in data science Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in data science, computer science or a related field 3+ years of experience in data science or a related field Strong foundation in statistics, machine learning, and data mining Comprehensive expertise and proficiency in: Python, SQL, Git Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail Strong focus on data quality and data integrity Experience with time-series analysis and signal processing Experience working with large datasets Excellent communication and presentation skills Capable of working in a fast-paced development environment Experience with Databricks, dbt and PySpark is considered a big plus Equal Opportunity Rivian is an equal opportunity employer and complies with all applicable federal, state, and local fair employment practices laws.
