System Administrators collaborate with a diverse team to support fast-paced, critical programs with classified information system capabilities. Success in this role means you can develop, implement and maintain secure, cost-efficient environments across various classified programs. What You Will Do: Collaborate with partners to define computing requirements based on the standard architectural solutions with a strong background in NetApp, Veritas and Quantum tape library systems. Integrate and partner with programs, network engineering and high performance computing teams to solve complex infrastructure problems. Ensure server and application compliance with security and performance requirements (DFARS, RMF, NIST Cybersecurity Framework). Experience with NAS and or SAN data storage products. Communicates and works with associated organizations including the Solutions Storage Infrastructure architectural team (SSI). Work with architectural and end-user teams to gather storage requirements for capacity, performance, space & power availability. Create updates and status reports for management. Attend regularly scheduled meetings to report on project status. Develop, revise, and maintain technical and operational documentation (including procedures). Maintain and grow your technical competence in multiple areas (such as Windows, Linux, virtualization, User Authentication, DNS, NFS). Assist in developing the overall performance and capability of your technical team through mentoring and knowledge sharing. Provide timely updates to management on project lifecycles. Systems are operational 24x7 and occasionally require work effort beyond standard work hours. Qualifications you must have: Typically requires bachelor's degree and minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience or a master's degree and minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience or in lieu of a bachelor's degree, applicants with 12 years of prior relevant experience will be considered. Experience working with Storage and Data Protection systems. Experience with Linux Operating System. (RHEL preferred) The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance prior to starting is required. Qualifications We Prefer: Ability to obtain required Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification) within 1 year of hire date. In-depth knowledge in NetApp, Veritas, CommVault, and VEEM systems. Experience operating and leading in an Agile Scrum environment. Strong understanding of fundamental TCP/IP concepts.
