Sr. Java Engineer

Senior Java Engineer (100% Remote, however MUST be within 2 Hours of the Minneapolis, MN metro area) Contract-to-Hire; must be highly interested in converting to a full-time employee. Client requirements: Must be located within 2 hours of the Minneapolis, MN metro. This role will be primarily remote; however, there will be quarterly onsite meetings and opportunities to attend company gatherings. What you'll do: Work with cutting-edge AWS cloud technologies and be part of a team committed to continuous innovation. If you're experienced with serverless computing, microservices, and modern front-end technologies, this may be the opportunity for you. Develop and enhance software solutions using Java and AWS. Contribute to our transition from a monolithic architecture to microservices and serverless computing. Leverage Node.js for serverless solutions using AWS Lambda. Utilize DynamoDB and other AWS services to build scalable applications. Experience: A strong communicator who enjoys collaboration and can thrive in a mid-sized company. Someone adaptable, eager to learn, and comfortable working on various tasks. A senior-level engineer with 10+ years of experience (or 6-8 years for a strong mid-level candidate). A full-stack developer with expertise in Java and a strong interest in AWS. Java (6+ years) - Strong expertise required. AWS (5+ years) - Mid-to-senior level experience, excited about cloud technologies. Full-Stack Experience - Knowledge of both backend and frontend development. Microservices & Serverless - Experience with Lambda, DynamoDB, and Node.js is a plus. Mindset - Someone who enjoys wearing multiple hats and working on cutting-edge AWS projects. The pay range (conversion salary) for this role is estimated between $140,000 - $150,000. This range is not a guarantee of compensation, as the final salary will be determined by factors such as experience, market trends, client, and specific job assignments.
