My client, an industry-leading systematic hedge fund, is seeking an exceptional Python Developer to join its New York office. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing seamless integrations between key trading systems, order management and booking platforms, and third-party vendor solutions. This includes developing and enhancing processes for post-trade normalization and fills aggregation to ensure data accuracy, traceability, and completeness across the firm's operations. The position offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of technology and trading, collaborating closely with front-office teams, including traders and quants, to deliver high-impact solutions that improve the speed, reliability, and accuracy of post-trade workflows. The successful candidate will need to navigate complex business requirements, assess potential technical challenges, and proactively deliver solutions that enhance operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will bring a deep technical background, particularly in Python and Java, with strong knowledge of trading systems and the FIX protocol. They will thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, applying innovative thinking to develop reliable and scalable solutions for a rapidly evolving trading landscape. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders are essential for success in this role. Responsibilities: Design and implement integrations between EMS, OMS, and external vendor platforms. Develop and enhance post-trade normalization and fills aggregation processes. Design and maintain test automation frameworks for comprehensive test coverage. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions. Perform impact assessments for platform changes and infrastructure upgrades. Provide Level 3 support to troubleshoot production issues and improve system resilience. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Finance, or related field. 5+ years of Python experience and 3+ years of Java experience. Proficiency in SQL and experience with databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL. Strong knowledge of Unix/Linux shell scripting and messaging systems (SNS, SQS, RabbitMQ). Deep understanding of the FIX protocol and trading systems. Familiarity with cloud technologies (AWS), Docker, and version control systems (Git).
