3K FAMILY CHILD CARE NETWORK - EDUCATIONAL SPECIALIST Job Category: Professional Requisition Number: 3KFAM003807 Posted: February 7, 2025 Full-Time Rate: $27.47 USD per hour Location Jerome Hardeman29-49 Gilmore StreetEast Elmhurst, NY 11369, USA Job Description Support the planning and implementation of research-based curriculum and lesson planning through bimonthly supervision visits to FCC 3K providers. Provide guidance and professional learning for providers on the implementation of mixed-age curriculum. Support coaching for providers. Support providers with child assessments, authentic assessments, and serving special populations. Support with professional development for providers. Support with provider recruitment, student recruitment, and family services. Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education. Spanish speaking preferred. Best Practice Requirements: Be a team player. Have a strong sensitivity to cultural and socioeconomic characteristics present among staff and clients within our organization. Possess a strong belief in people's ability to grow and change; forge a mutually respectful partnership with persons served and their families. Ability to set limits and maintain the helping role of practitioner and to intervene appropriately. Follow employee screening requirements and use screening instruments to screen for abuse risk. Provide employees with ongoing supervision and training related to abuse risk. Provide employees with regular feedback regarding their boundaries with clients. Require employees to adhere to policies and procedures related to abuse risk. Respond quickly to policy and procedure violations using the organization's progressive disciplinary procedures. Respond seriously and confidently to reports of suspicious and inappropriate behaviors. Follow mandated reporting requirements. Communicate to all employees the organization's commitment to protect their clients from abuse. Report essential abuse risk management information to the board of directors.
