Culmen Capital is a boutique investment bank specializing in capital raises for technology-adjacent companies. We provide hands-on advisory services to innovative companies seeking $5M+ in capital, combining traditional banking expertise with modern deal execution strategies. Role Overview: We're seeking a Vice President of Investment Banking to join our team in a remote capacity. This role offers a unique opportunity to both originate and execute deals, with responsibilities split evenly between business development and transaction execution. Key Responsibilities: Business Development (50%): Lead strategic conversations with prospective clients to understand their capital needs and objectives Build and maintain relationships with founders, C-suite executives, and key decision-makers Develop and execute targeted outreach strategies to identify and secure new clients Present Culmen Capital's value proposition and structure engagement terms Deal Execution (50%): Lead end-to-end execution of capital raises ($5M+) Structure and prepare compelling investment materials including teasers, pitch decks, and financial models Build and maintain relationships with institutional investors, family offices, and strategic investors Drive due diligence processes and negotiate terms Manage client relationships throughout the transaction lifecycle Requirements: Series 7 license 5+ years of investment banking or related experience (e.g., private equity, venture capital) Proven track record of originating and closing growth capital transactions Strong network of institutional investors and industry relationships Excellence in financial modeling, valuation, and deal structuring Outstanding written and verbal communication skills Self-starter mentality with ability to work independently in a remote environment Bachelor's degree required; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred Compensation: Performance-based bonus structure tied to deal origination and execution Location: Remote (US-based candidates only) If you're an experienced investment banking professional looking to take ownership of deals from origination through close, while working with innovative companies in a modern, remote environment, we want to hear from you.
