Training, Development & Career Laddering Great work-life balance Flexible Scheduling Telehealth + Flex Spending + Health Savings Account Options Job Title: Lead Server Facility Location: Harmony at Spring Hill STATEMENT OF JOB: The Lead Server is responsible for courteously serving resident and guest meals, and for clean-up and resetting of dining room following meal service. The Lead Server is also responsible for supervising the daily assignments of the servers, ensuring proper training, as well as ensuring proper coverage to meet the business needs. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Policies/Procedures/Administration Maintain a good working knowledge of all dining room and kitchen responsibilities and procedures Understand basic kitchen equipment operation (food processor, dishwasher, beverage machine, etc.) Maintain a clean work area in the kitchen, serving area, and dining room Understand proper table setting for each meal Maintain schedule for the servers to include call outs and coverage for all assigned shifts Maintain daily assignments for the servers Assist with the interviewing and hiring process of applicants for server positions Conduct training for all new and current servers Maintain the daily food orders Post new menus daily/weekly Oversee seating and timing of meals and dining experience Oversee the process and set up for special events Residents: Assist residents when placing orders from the menu and the completion of take-out orders Provide beverage service (water, iced tea, juices, milk and coffee/tea) Refill salt/pepper/sugar bowls prior to and after each meal Report any broken equipment or tableware to supervisor Understand sit-down service and proper serving techniques Have a basic understanding of food preparation (salads, desserts, etc.) Knowledge of proper food storage and labeling techniques Sweep, mop, and vacuum kitchen and dining room Attend required in-services and staff meetings Be attentive to special needs of residents including: mobility deficits, memory impairment, etc. Assist with tray service Follow confidentiality policies regarding release of resident and associate information Interact in a polite and considerate manner with residents, guests, co-workers, and supervisors Resolve complaints Complete all other duties assigned Requirement: Must have a High School Diploma or GED Must secure and maintain Serv-Safe certification Must be in clean designated uniform during working hours and maintain good personal hygiene Must be able to read and follow simple instructions Must possess ability to perform simple, repetitive tasks Must be able to learn quickly and apply learned principles Must be able to communicate effectively and work under close supervision Must be able to bend, reach, grasp, push and pull objects Must be able to stand and walk for sustained periods up to three (3) hours at a time Must be able to lift 50 lbs on a regular basis and carry heavy objects for 20 feet Must be organized and willing to work well with other associates Must be willing to work a flexible schedule that includes evenings, weekends, and holidays #J-18808-Ljbffr
