Job Title: National Education Controls Specification Sales Manager - Cooper Lighting Solutions Job Description: We are Cooper Lighting Solutions. Working as an Education Specification Sales Manager, Lighting Controls at Cooper Lighting Solutions is dynamic. You will be responsible for the attainment of Division and Corporate goals for specification growth and management of relationships for assigned product lines. The responsibilities of this position will include driving the specification brand awareness with End Users, School Boards, and Engineers in NY, TX, CA, and TN. Working with manufacturers' reps and Cooper Lighting Solution's counterparts to spec/sell a lighting controls solution. What you'll do: Immediately gain controls specification market share in the education vertical within key markets: NY, TN, TX, CA. Perform focus sales initiatives with end users & school boards to differentiate Cooper Controls as the go-to lighting controls solution. Analyze sales levels and trends through market research and initiate pro-active or corrective actions as required to assure attainment of objectives. Ensure that appropriate technical guidance and assistance regarding product applications is available to customers. Work closely with, develop, and coordinate activities with application service departments within CLS and agency partners to develop world-class specification support. Promote and market company strategy through customer interaction at industry groups, including speaking at conventions and tradeshows. Serve as "Voice of the Customer" by making recommendations and supplying feedback to Product Management and Engineering teams to ensure products meet and exceed customer expectations. Collaborate with the National Sales Director on additional responsibilities to ensure Cooper Controls growth in 2025! What you'll need: Bachelor's degree from an accredited university. Minimum 3 years sales or marketing management experience in the electrical products industry. Lighting or Controls industry experience preferred. Experience in identified market segments also preferred. Well-developed communication, organizational, motivational, and human relations skills.
