The Senior Azure Architect will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing our cloud infrastructure, with deep expertise in Microsoft Azure. This individual will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing advanced DevOps and infrastructure solutions, driving efficiency, security, and reliability across the entire software development lifecycle within the Azure environment. Key Responsibilities: Azure Cloud Architecture: Architect, develop, and maintain scalable Azure DevOps pipelines and automation processes, leveraging Azure IaaS and PaaS services. Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Develop and maintain automated infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Azure DevOps, Terraform, and scripting tools like PowerShell and ARM templates. Collaboration and Best Practices: Work closely with development teams, Azure architects, and other DevOps engineers to enforce best practices for version control, branching strategies, code reviews, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD). App Services & Networking: Implement and manage Azure App Services, Azure SQL, and KeyVault for high availability and performance. Design and manage Azure Networking solutions including VNETs, NSGs, and routing (Azure vWAN, VNET Peering). Backup and Disaster Recovery: Develop and implement automated backup strategies using Azure Backup and Azure Site Recovery . Automate the entire process of failover and failback to ensure rapid recovery in the event of a disaster. Ensure that both IaaS and PaaS environments are protected with end-to-end automated disaster recovery solutions. Automation with Cycloid & Azure DevOps: Lead automation initiatives using tools like Cycloid and Azure DevOps to streamline processes, enhance deployment efficiency, and reduce manual effort. Security and Compliance: Implement security measures throughout the DevOps lifecycle, including vulnerability assessments, access control, and compliance with security standards and regulations. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including developers, architects, and DevOps engineers to ensure reliable, scalable, and secure infrastructure solutions. Documentation & Best Practices: Maintain comprehensive documentation of configurations, processes, and troubleshooting steps. Enforce best practices for version control, branching strategies, and code reviews. Performance Optimization: Continuously monitor, maintain, and optimize Azure services for performance, cost efficiency, and reliability. Qualifications: Experience: 8+ years in Azure Cloud architecture, with hands-on experience in Azure DevOps, Azure IaaS, and PaaS environments. Automation & IaC: Proficiency with Terraform, Azure DevOps, Cycloid, and other automation tools. Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code using ARM templates, PowerShell, and/or Bash scripting. Security: Strong understanding of cloud security best practices, including implementing RBAC, Policy, Azure PIM, and security monitoring tools like Azure Sentinel. Networking & Infrastructure: Experience configuring VNETs, NSGs, route tables, and peering between VNETs. Familiarity with Azure Disaster Recovery, Storage Accounts, App Services, and other Azure PaaS solutions. Collaboration & Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and document processes effectively. Leadership & Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior DevOps engineers. Preferred Qualifications: Relevant Azure certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert). Experience in Kubernetes administration for containerized applications. Familiarity with Azure governance components such as RBAC, Policy, and Azure PIM.
