Deputy Director of Human Resources and Risk Management City of Chico Job Posting Jan. 30, 2025 The City of Chico is currently recruiting one well-qualified candidate to fill the position of Deputy Director of Human Resources and Risk Management. The Deputy Director of Human Resources and Risk Management will assist the Administrative Services Director to direct, plan, and coordinate the activities of the Human Resources and Risk Management division within the Administrative Services Department; coordinate assigned activities with other divisions, departments, and allied agencies; provide complex assistance to the Administrative Services Director and serve in their absence as required. This is a management classification responsible for planning, organizing, reviewing, and evaluating the delivery of human resources and risk management programs and services to City departments with responsibility for all related activities, including administration of the City's equal employment opportunity program, recruitment and selection, classification and salary administration, labor relations and negotiations, employee development, employee relations, workers' compensation, benefits and risk management, employee records maintenance, the development of personnel policies and procedures and assisting and advising departments on personnel problems.
