School/Department: EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION City & Zip: FT LAUDERDALE, FL, US, 33301 Requisition #: 15777 School Year: 2024-2025 Prioritize services and facilitate technical assistance and support to schools that have been identified as low achieving, based on state and/or federal standards. Identify the support required to comply with federal and state legislation, priorities, and standards, through the application of effective methods, evidence-based instructional strategies, and coordination of resources which are targeted to achieve measurable school improvement. Focus on effective strategies to improve student academic achievement, with special emphasis in the areas of reading, science, and mathematics. ESSENTIAL PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE An earned master's degree from an accredited institution; hold or be eligible for a valid Florida Teacher's Certificate in a core curriculum area. Three (3) years job related experience. OR An earned bachelor's degree from an accredited institution; hold or be eligible for a valid Florida Teacher's Certificate in a core curriculum area. Five (5) years job related experience. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Prior experience working with instructional strategies to improve student performance in demographically diverse school environments. Documented evidence of learning gains in student achievement, through a history of improved standard performance metrics, such as FCAT, standardized test scores, adequate yearly progress for identified subgroups, or other recognized academic performance measures. KNOWLEDGE How to evaluate and shape school cultures How to assess classroom environments for effective instruction Evidence-based instructional coaching approaches Use of protocols for school professional development State and federal laws, rules, policies, and procedures related to school improvement and differentiated accountability SKILLS Communication, including written and verbal Presentation, including the ability to effectively communicate complex, technical information to the target audience Organizational, problem-solving, and data-analysis Computer skills as required for the position ABILITIES Coordinate program activities with other department priorities Work with and through people to establish goals, objectives, and action plans to produce desired ends/results Work autonomously and employ multiple approaches to solve problems or meet challenges Identify and apply effective instructional strategies which improve student academic achievement Orchestrate change and build capacity Balance competing priorities while maintaining focus on goal achievement Effectively manage time to meet required deadlines PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE Florida certification in Educational Leadership or Administration and Supervision is preferred. Bilingual skills preferred. SIGNIFICANT CONTACTS-frequency, contact, purpose Works in close cooperation and collaboration with district, area, and school-based administrators to identify, implement, and monitor required school improvement initiatives. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Light work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force as frequently as needed to move objects. TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT Salary and benefits shall be paid consistent with the District's approved compensation plan. Length of the work year and hours of employment shall be those established by the School Board.
