Sales Position

Givens Violins, in downtown Minneapolis, has a full-time or part-time position for a string player - violin, viola or cello, with a preference for a cellist. We are currently interviewing. This is the perfect position for a musician who wants to stay within the music world without the pressure of performing or teaching. It is an opportunity to learn about the business world, the history of violin making, and fine craftsmanship, plus work with great musicians daily and the families of young players. If full-time, there is the potential to earn more than $40,000 within the first year based on success. It is not a commission environment; rather, we have team goals. Staff Position Responsibilities: Sales work Preparing violins, violas, cellos, and their bows for showings Maintaining the inventory Front counter work - selling accessories & repair intake and invoicing Admin responsibilities including help with social media Out-of-town deliveries and exhibits Buyer for accessories Qualifications: Must be an accomplished string player Sales experience Must be well organized Excellent writing and communication skills Basic computer skills Willing to travel Driver's license and excellent driving record Hours are 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, Tuesday - Saturday. Competitive salary commensurate with experience.
