Nursing Coordinator | Mobile Medication Unit - Bronx, NY (#3106) Location: New YorkMinimum Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years experience as an RN, preferably in a substance use disorder treatment program. Greenlife Healthcare Staffing is currently seeking a Mobile Medication Unit Nursing Coordinator to fill an opening with a Residential Facility (FQHC) located in Bronx, New York. Requirements of the Nursing Coordinator: Must have a current NYS RN License Must have a current NYS Infection Control Certificate and BCLS Completion Card Must have at least 2 years experience as an RN, preferably in a substance use disorder treatment program Must have proficiency with computer operation (Microsoft Office, Electronic Health Records, and Outlook programs) Must have excellent written and oral communication skills Must have the ability to interact with service recipients of diverse social, cultural, and economic groups Must have the ability to remain calm, focused, and helpful under stress Bilingual English|Spanish is preferred Benefits of the Nursing Coordinator: The salary for this position is $87,000 - $92,000 per year This is a Full-time position 11 paid holidays 25 PTOs (up to 10 accrued unused PTO days can be carried over to next calendar year) Health Insurance (which includes medical, hospitalization, pharmacy, vision, and dental coverage for you and your family) Tax-deferred Childcare and Medical Plans HRA Life insurance coverage (100% employer paid) Commuter Benefit (mass-transit or parking expenses via MasterCard) Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Retirement Savings Plan Tuition reduction rate on continuing education Other Benefits Dress down Fridays Discounted gym membership Annual holiday party Annual staff appreciation day Annual wellness week where employees are encouraged to join events such as activities for self-care, nutrition, mental health, and physical health 1199 Union for employees who work in our Opioid Treatment Program Plum benefits Ongoing training for staff Annual staff surveys to recommend changes and share suggestions AFLAC Responsibilities of the Nursing Coordinator: Provides nursing care that supports patients in treatment and recovery Administers medication adhering to institutional policy and federal/state regulatory standards Monitors the transfer of all controlled substances and supplies to and from the clinic/MMU Maintains medication dispensing unit to ensure efficient and accurate dispensing Assesses patients for signs of altered mental status prior to dispensing medication and assesses a patient for medication side effects Communicates, as needed, with the prescribing professional Provides health teaching and counseling to patients Documents and maintains patient medical records adhering to organizational and regulatory requirements Responsible for ordering, delivering, tracking, and monitoring all controlled substances Responsible for ensuring all reports required by organizations and regulatory agencies are complete, accurate, secured, and readily available for review In collaboration with the Director of Nursing, SUD Services, ensures adequate MMU nursing coverage Makes recommendations on matters concerning the physical plant operations, workflow, and resources Treats patients in a manner that preserves and protects patient autonomy, dignity, confidentiality, and patient rights Performs any additional duties, tasks, and responsibilities that may be assigned, as needed Greenlife Healthcare Staffing is a nationwide recruitment agency, matching both new grads and advanced practitioners to hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, multi-specialty groups, and private practices.
