We are seeking an Architectural Designer to join our growing teams in Miami, FL . Under supervision, applies technical professional proficiency to the solution of architectural problems and the coordination of related project activities. The successful candidate will work in a supportive, team-oriented design environment with significant opportunity to be an integral team member for projects of varied sizes and complexity. You will have the ability to seek mentorship and advance your career and be part of the growing Building and Places practice at AtkinsRéalis. This opportunity is open for a well-rounded professional looking for in-depth architectural design and construction experience with technical and design mentorship leading to architectural licensing and increased leadership at AtkinsRéalis. How will you contribute to the team? Support design teams working on various project types such as commercial, rail, transit, aviation etc. through all stages of design. While seeking advice from peers and supervisors, enhance current abilities and further develop the ability to make timely design and technical decisions in a collaborative manner. Present oneself professionally to clients as well as maintain a "˜seller-doer' approach. Enhance current abilities and further develop programming, planning, and other conceptual design activities. Develop designs and sketches into Revit-based construction documents. Produce a complete set of construction documents in BIM. Welcome mentorship and take a proactive approach to design and technical professional development. Follow redlined documents for production in Revit and develop the same redlined skill to be able to hand-off to junior staff. Enhance current abilities and further develop coordination skills with sub-consultants and other disciplines and mentor junior staff to do the same. Provide technical information to a specification writer. Create and/or develop organized Exhibits in BlueBeam and PowerPoint for client and team review. Perform site and field work including site investigations, existing facility inventory, and field measured documentation. Provide Project Architects/Project Managers with status reports of progress on architectural documents. Complete assignments efficiently, accurately, and in a timely manner, and self-perform quality control on work prior to publication or review by senior staff. Communicate regularly with the team and stay within the hours budgeted for tasks assigned. Maintain and coordinate project BIM model and develop a strong knowledge of construction document standards and conventions. Develop a strong knowledge of building codes and experience with code review processes. Consult product manufacturers to evaluate and obtain accurate cost information, select materials, and inspect architectural features in the field. Develop a deeper understanding of building materials and construction methods. Exhibit strong time management and organizational skills. Work on several projects or issues simultaneously. Work independently or in a team environment as needed. Desire to develop the skills required to analyze information and propose effective solutions on own initiative. Create basic and informative 3D models in BIM or another digital format. Possess an entrepreneurial spirit and a desire for career advancement. Perform other duties as the Supervisor determines necessary to support the Architecture Practice. What will you contribute? Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from a NAAB accredited program required. Minimum 4-5+ years of relevant work experience to include all phases of architectural drafting, detailing, and assisting with the coordination of consultants. Experience with Sketchup and Lumion or other rendering software is preferred. Expertise in BIM/Revit and AutoCAD is required. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe Suite is required. Candidate must be in the process of completing the Architect Registration Exam (ARE). LEED AP is a plus.
