Job Overview: A highly respected law firm is seeking a third to fourth-year Business Litigation Associate with expertise in General Business Litigation and Employment Law to join its Los Angeles office. The ideal candidate will have experience handling litigation matters, particularly those involving Wage & Hour, Discrimination, and Wrongful Termination. Additional exposure to regulatory compliance matters, such as Proposition 65 defense, will be considered a plus. This position offers the opportunity to work on complex business litigation matters while developing skills in various employment law-related issues. Location: Santa Monica, CA Duties: Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda on complex business litigation and employment law matters. Assist in drafting and responding to discovery requests and pre-trial motions. Participate in depositions, hearings, and other litigation-related activities. Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop and implement effective litigation strategies. Manage case files and ensure that all legal documents are in compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Advise clients on employment-related matters, including Wage & Hour, Discrimination, and Wrongful Termination issues. Work with internal teams on regulatory compliance matters, such as Proposition 65 defense. Requirements: 3 to 4 years of experience in business litigation and employment law. Proven expertise in handling business litigation matters, including wage and hour issues, discrimination claims, and wrongful termination. Experience in drafting and responding to discovery requests and pre-trial motions. Exposure to regulatory compliance, particularly Proposition 65, is a plus. Strong academic record, excellent legal writing and research skills, and a superior work ethic. Education: Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Certifications: Admission to the bar in the state of California. Skills: Expertise in business litigation and employment law. Strong research, writing, and analytical skills. Ability to handle complex cases and manage multiple tasks. Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. #J-18808-Ljbffr
