As a Regional Support Professional at The Phoenix Residence, Inc., you'll build relationships, provide person-centered, quality living experiences, and serve individuals with disabilities in need of love and care. Your goal will be to help individuals enjoy life by assisting them with simple daily functions such as meal prep, light exercise, local transportation, social interactions, and housekeeping. Regional Support Professionals must be positive, quick to help, and remain engaged at all times. Must be willing to take on duties as assigned and help provide training when requested. You will be assigned to a region with a group of 4 homes. The starting wage is $17-$19/hour based on schedule flexibility and availability. Must be willing to work at least one weekend per pay period. QUALIFICATIONS: High School diploma or equivalency preferred. Must be 18 or older. One year of experience working with individuals with physical and/or developmental disabilities or in a human services-related field, preferred. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Willingness to provide personal care for individuals as needed. Ability to coordinate activities and services. Ability to read, write, and speak the English language to adequately interact and respond to individuals and meet their service needs. This position requires a valid driver's license and the ability to maintain a safe driving record. Must be able to pass the van driving class within the first sixty (60) days of employment. Ability to be a Trained Medication Passer within the first sixty (60) days of employment. Ability to be trained in CPR and First Aid within the first sixty (60) days of employment. Ability to see and hear adequately to make assessments and respond to individuals' needs. Ability to respond to emergencies according to established The Phoenix Residence policies and procedures. Ability to use a computer for required documentation, communication, and time log purposes.
