The achievers and courageous challenge-crushers we seek, have the following characteristics and skills: Job Functions Technical Expertise: Provide expert guidance/review on 3D CAD modeling, including the architecture setup, application of dimensions, tolerances, annotations directly within the 3D model, and other digital transformation related tasks. Training and Development: Mentor and train individual contributors regarding 3D CAD modeling and drawing creation. Develop training materials on processes, best practices, and lessons learned for effective onboarding. Quality Assurance: Provide consultation on MBD processes to ensure they meet quality standards and industry regulations while maintaining model integrity. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering and project management, to ensure project needs are met. Qualifications Education: Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Experience: Minimum of 15+ years of working experience in 3D CAD modeling and MBD implementation. Experience in the gas turbine industry preferred. Technical Skills: Proficiency in 3D CAD software (NX, Teamcenter or equivalent) and familiarity with MBD standards. Experience with JTGo2 is a plus. Problem Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose complex issues effectively. Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of effectively conveying technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Enjoy working in a fast-paced, creative environment and collaborating with dynamic teams with diverse experiences. Direct interface with other internal/external engineering functions involved in MBD modeling. Capture system requirements from the customer and incorporate them into projects. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and validate complex system models. Integrate MBD tools and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. Mentor engineering teams on MBD practices and align processes with customer and company needs. Stay current on MBD advancements and lead troubleshooting efforts and innovation. Provide engineering review and/or manage detailed technical documentation for MBD models and processes. Physical Requirements & Work Environment Mostly office environments, with occasional shop floor involvement. Substantial amounts of telephone, video conferencing, and computer work. Heavily regulated industries with strict adherence to procedures. Flexibility to meet business deadlines by staying late or arriving early. This role can be full-time or part-time. Ability to use personal transportation to visit customer locations.
