The Cloud Operations Engineer will focus on transitioning the team from traditional data center operations to a cloud-centric approach, modernizing services, and improving operational capabilities. This role is critical in steering the organization towards a modern, efficient, and cloud-driven operation, elevating both team skills and service delivery. Responsibilities Key Responsibilities: Lead projects that transition traditional data center operations to the cloud. Modernize existing services to align with cloud best practices. Manage cloud environments in accordance with company security guidelines. Ensure disaster recovery processes are followed and periodically tested. Provide mentorship and training to enhance the team's cloud skills and capabilities. Collaborate with customers to design and implement cloud-centric server solutions. Develop automation and DevOps strategies to improve efficiency and performance. Implement strategic approaches by replacing legacy technologies. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner. Qualifications Required Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in cloud-based infrastructure and services (AWS, Azure, GCP). Strong leadership and mentoring abilities. Experience in automation and DevOps tools and methodologies. Effective communication skills to articulate complex technological concepts. Preferred Experience/Qualifications: Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP) Experience with serverless cloud IaaS and PaaS Proficiency in scripting languages such as Terraform, Powershell, Bash, Python Previous experience in a similar cloud operations role Proven track record of modernizing systems and services to cloud environments. Familiarity with SQL service modernization Strong Linux and Windows troubleshooting skills. Ability to foster team growth and development in a fast-paced environment This position is based in Charlotte, NC.
