Job Overview:We are seeking an experienced Senior Press Operator to join our team. This individual will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining stamping presses using progressive stamping dies and tooling. The Senior Press Operator will play a critical role in ensuring high-quality production standards while optimizing machine efficiency and maintaining safety protocols.Key Responsibilities:Set up and operate stamping presses using progressive stamping dies and tooling to produce high-precision metal parts.Troubleshoot and perform maintenance on stamping presses to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.Ensure proper alignment and adjustment of dies, tools, and other equipment for accurate part production.Monitor the stamping process to maintain product quality, ensuring adherence to design specifications and tolerances.Conduct routine inspections and perform quality checks on stamped parts using micrometers, calipers, and other measuring tools.Identify and address any issues with material flow, die alignment, or tooling, and make necessary adjustments.Document production data, including production quantities, machine settings, and any issues encountered during the production process.Work closely with engineering and maintenance teams to improve die design and tooling, ensuring long-term operational efficiency.Provide leadership and mentorship to junior press operators, offering guidance on troubleshooting and machine ply with all safety standards and regulations while operating the stamping presses.Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all tools and equipment are stored properly and safely.Qualifications:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Minimum of three years of experience operating stamping presses, specifically with progressive stamping dies and tooling.High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certifications in machine operation or manufacturing preferred.Strong understanding of stamping press operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.Familiarity with quality control processes and the ability to use precision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, etc.).Ability to perform routine maintenance on presses and dies.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Excellent communication and teamwork skills.Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced mitment to safety and adhering to all safety protocols.Preferred Skills:Experience with CNC presses or automated stamping systems.Knowledge of die design and tooling modifications for continuous process improvements.Previous leadership or supervisory experience is a plus.PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
