Job DescriptionThe Space Needle is looking for a Technology Product Manager with IT experience to join their Guest Experiences and Innovation Team. As a PM, you will be responsible for all the hardware and software that makes up the Space Needle's proprietary ticketing system. The PM reports to the Senior TPM. The PM is responsible for hardware selection, setup, and maintenance and the software roadmap, prioritization, design, and implementation of features, bugs, and enhancements.Space Needle's ticket platform processes over 2M tickets annually. Our ticketing applications run on a range of hardware including Kiosks, PCs, Mobile Devices, POS Handhelds, and Scanners. It is a cloud-based platform running the latest Java technology stack, Azure Services, and it is supported by a team of 8+ engineers, architects, and designers.ResponsibilitiesOwn the product roadmap:Be able to communicate both the business and technical rationale behind your design decisions. Support a platform that will serve the organization for years to come.Be responsible for roadmap investment:Be able to translate the technical design and hardware choices into an investment roadmap and a business case for each initiative. Make the tough decisions necessary to keep the investment grounded.Own the architecture and integration of systems:Be responsible for the development and maintenance of the ticketing technology architecture and integration. Identify and manage risks and communicate integration requirements to development partners.Document designs and specify as needed:Mockup concepts, write functional specs, write copy, and do whatever it takes to express your ideas internally and to third parties.Monitor and resolve recurring issues:Serve as the last tier of support for the internal ticketing support. Troubleshoot escalated issues and write support procedures if needed. Permanently resolve recurring issues through the platform roadmap, writing scripts, or documentation.Create the best customer experience:From guiding guests to find the right ticket combo to providing discounted tickets, be able to design and develop a platform that services a wide range of needs with the most optimal flow.ExperienceWe are looking for someone who wants to make a difference for a lot of people and can handle a big responsibility. From our guests to our employees your decisions will have a significant impact on the business.Experience building, communicating and securing funding for a technology roadmap and making hard tradeoff decisions on a roadmap.Experience working with or being responsible for UI/UX design resources and making UI/UX decisions.Experience managing applications in production and making decisions to keep the system stable while pushing changes (the business does not stop).Experience writing business and technical requirements and using a software development methodology (lean and/or waterfall).Experience working and managing technology vendor relationships.You are familiar with supporting an operation running 16+ hrs a day, 7 days a week, and 360 days a year.You are a person who thrives in a fast environment with a heavy dose of ambiguity.You are hands-on, a self-starter, passionate, and collaborative.You are not afraid of code even if you are not able to write it.Employment DetailsFull Time, Hourly PositionPay Range: $31 - $34.38 / hour, Depending on ExperienceBenefits include:Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Long Term401k plan, we will match 50% of the first 6% you contribute, equivalent to 3% of your wages.Deferred compensation into 401(k) account at company Shareholder discretion.
