JOB DESCRIPTION About the Role As an Account Manager, you will be working hand-in-hand with the Senior Account Manager as the primary drivers of your account's success, overseeing and executing strategies that align with overall sales objectives. You will develop and implement solutions to achieve sales and profitability goals while strengthening relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. Your role will be crucial in identifying growth opportunities, managing sales processes, and mentoring junior team members to ensure the business meets its goals. Your responsibilities will include, but not limited to: * Sales Management: In conjunction with the Senior Account Manager, lead the development and execution of sales strategies with your account buyer that drive growth and meet account-specific targets. Ensure successful planning and delivery of sales initiatives and provide mentorship to the Associate Account Managers to support account objectives. * Business Strategy & Insights: Analyze business reports, including sales recaps, ROS, inventory, and shipping updates. Use data-driven insights to identify opportunities and adjust strategies, accordingly, driving revenue growth and profitability for assigned accounts. Be opportunistic and assertive in finding whitespace opportunities and starting to develop new strategies and programs to meet annual financial plan and drive new account growth. * Day-to-Day Account Management: Oversee the entire sales cycle, from assortment planning and order management to delivery execution. Ensure timely and effective resolution of customer issues by coordinating with customer service and maintaining high client satisfaction. * Sales Process Management: Prepare for and lead sell-in meetings, market appointments, and pre-season alignment meetings. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that all account strategies are well-coordinated, effective, and yield desired results. * System & Process Optimization: Manage or work with Account Associate/Associate Account Manager for critical data within internal systems (e.g., SAP) to ensure efficient operations, including accurate item setups, delivery timelines, and chargeback resolutions. * Financial Accountability: Own and manage your account P&L and retailer's OTB (open to buy), ensuring overall profitability and sales growth. Thorough understanding of P&L (profitability report) to ensure a clear understanding of how your role has a direct impact on Revenue, Dilution, GP%, AUSPs, COGs, product mix implications, monthly forecast, and weekly shipping updates. Provide accurate monthly forecasts to meet annual shipping and revenue targets. * Market Knowledge & Trends: Stay on top of market trends, competitive research, and marketplace dynamics to inform your sales strategies. Use this information to shape account initiatives and ensure competitive positioning. About You * Educational Background: A bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field, or 5+ years of combined education and relevant work experience. * Experience: 3-5 years of experience in account management, sales, or a similar role within the wholesale/retail or consumer goods industry. * Business Acumen: A deep understanding of business metrics, P&L, and retail math (e.g., sales, margin, inventory KPIs). Ability to analyze and interpret data to support business decisions. * Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel. Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP), and the ability to quickly learn new systems and tools. * Detail Orientation & Problem-Solving: Exceptional attention to detail with strong analytical skills. Capable of solving complex account issues and managing operational tasks efficiently. * Communication & Presentation Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present confidently to clients and internal teams at all levels. The expected starting salary range for this role is $78,800 - $120,900 per year. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range based on the location of the role. The amount a particular employee will earn within the salary range will be based on factors such as relevant education, qualifications, performance and business needs.
