Bartender

Masquerade is a Persian restaurant/wine bar in Brooklyn and home to a rotating selection of vinyls, daily by-the-glass natural wine selection, seasonally and locally driven food, craft beer and specialty cocktails.  We are looking for an experienced bartender who can grow to be Head bartender/Captain   Bartender responsibilities:   - Setting up and breaking down the bar, cutting fruits and preparing garnishes  - Organizing the fridges, restocking wine/liquor, making syrups and juices if needed   - Utilizing POS and reservation systems (TOAST experience is a plus) - Greeting guests and taking orders - Making cocktails, mixed drinks (knowledge of classic cocktails is a must) - Memorizing the wine-by-the-glass list and the wine characteristics (General wine knowledge is a plus) - Helping to run food and buss tables when the bar is not busy - Making lists for 86ed items, items that running low, etc. and communicating with other FOH staff - Memorizing the food menu and the ability to describe the dishes perfectly - Must have Friday/Saturday availability Required Skills Customer Service Knowledge and Enthusiasm About spirits, cocktails and wine Attention to Detail High Volume Service Food Safety Knowledge Ability to Create Genuine Connections With Guests Professionalism Strong Communication Skills Teamwork Dedication and Energy Masquerade is an equal opportunity employer to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, or disability.
