Shift Supervisor

YELLOW Georgetown is hiring for a (not) Pizza Shift Supervisor.   This is a great opportunity for an experienced individual looking to take the next step of growth and responsibility, to learn from and contribute to the management team.  Duties include opening dinner service and closing responsibilities, communicating specials to the staff and guests, organizing and leading a team of 4-6 people daily. RESPONSIBILITIES Collaborate with direct manager to maintain and implement cafe standards Oversight of daily dinner service opening and closing procedures Working with the team to ensure a smooth and efficient service + guest experience Completion of daily + weekly order guides Communicating staffing needs and shortages within the cafe with direct manager Work with management to help control labor and operating expenses through effective planning and purchasing Ensure sanitation and overall cafe cleanliness and organization standards are within compliance Collaborating with the chef/kitchen team to reflect specials and menu changes Ensure a safe, healthy, and equitable work environment for all staff More about us: YELLOW , a cafe from Chef  Michael Rafidi , offers a taste of the Levant with a menu of baked goods, mezze, wood-fired pita sandwiches, specialty drinks. A highlight of the experience are sweet and savory pastries that blend French technique with Levantine flavors. Coffee program curated by Coffee Director  Ayat Elhag  and sourced by Counter Culture. and highlights Levantine ingredients in drinks such as Baklava Mocha and Smoked Dirty Chai.  YELLOW is open for service daily, 8am- 3pm and reopens for dinner from 4pm - 9pm serving (not) Pizza Tuesday - Saturday evenings. The ideal Shift Supervisor candidate  has at least 2 years of experience as Server, and leadership/management experience is a plus.  Strong food and beverage knowledge required.
