Position Summary: As the General Manager at Olly Olly Market , you will oversee all aspects of managing a successful food hall and events venue. This vibrant space is a hub for hospitality, quality food and beverage, and community. The General Manager is responsible for ensuring smooth operations, maintaining strong vendor relationships, and upholding high service standards. You will work closely with food hall partners, the internal team, and external stakeholders to drive operational success, financial performance, and a welcoming guest experience. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to: Operations: Oversee the development and implementation of all opening, mid-shift, and closing staffing guidelines for daily operations. Maintain regular communication with principal owners, food hall partners, and on-site managers. Present food hall updates to vendors on a weekly basis. Utilize communication and organizational tools (7shifts, Google Docs, Basecamp, etc.) to support and enhance food hall operations. Continuously seek out new tenants who align with hospitality values, quality offerings, and community engagement. Manage their onboarding process. Lead the planning and promotion of events in collaboration with the 16" OC Marketing and Events teams. Support management and vendors in maintaining sanitation standards, staying up-to-date with food safety regulations, and conducting daily audits. Oversee all maintenance requests and ensure timely repairs for operational efficiency. Ensure efficient staff scheduling and productivity across all 16" OC entities within the space, including Avant and Apres Bar. Serve as the onsite liaison for vendor communication and training related to Toast Point-of-Sale. Work with the events manager to ensure successful execution of private events. Manage all hourly staff, including the bar team, backbones, and private events team. Maintain a well-stocked and profitable general store. Foster positive relationships between vendors and their teams. Financials: Ensure managers and vendors meet or exceed budgeted sales goals while controlling labor costs and costs of goods sold. Participate in monthly financial closing and review processes with the CFO and principal ownership. Collaborate with CFO and partners to establish exclusive provider partnerships for the food hall. Prepare agendas and financial reports for team meetings with management, finance, and executive leadership. Leadership: Foster a positive work culture by leading with enthusiasm, professionalism, and a passion for hospitality. Support and manage team members, provide positive feedback, and address performance concerns proactively and respectfully. Build strong relationships with internal departments, vendors, and management team members. Recruit, hire, and develop team members to support business needs. Provide coaching and regular performance check-ins, including annual employee reviews. Ensure compliance with all training and required certifications, utilizing tools that cater to different learning styles. About You: 5+ years of management experience in restaurant, food hall, or hospitality operations. Proven track record of success in overseeing complex operations, tenant relations, and team development. Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets, with a strong understanding of budgeting, scheduling, and operational analytics. New York State Alcohol Training Awareness Program (ATAP) certification or ability to obtain before employment. New York City Food Protection Certificate (or equivalent) required. Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Physically able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
