This opportunity involves hands-on work aboard 688 and 774 class submarines, offering a dynamic and fast-paced environment for experienced professionals.If you are interested in joining our team and making an impact, we encourage you to submit your resume today!**This position is in Kittery, Maine paying 24-38/hr DOE plus Weekly Per Diem****This is a 6-month temporary contract with an anticipated start date of 3/2/2025**What You'll Be Doing:Ripping out, altering, repairing, and installing the ship's structure (frame structure, metal deck plating and grating, hull fittings such as davits and fairleads, chocks, scuttles, sockets, and deck rails)Templating, laying out, and fabricating structures and fittings including bulkheads, equipment foundations, hangers, ladders, stanchions, brows, accommodation ladders, and guards.Removing and installing corrosion-prevention plates (Zinc)Performing the following operations: punch, drill, ream, tap, and template cutting.Fit-up and make ready for welding, including chipping, nibbling, beveling, hand-grinding and cleaning of surfaces to be welded.Performing excavation of pits or defects in ship's structure, including pressure hull and frames.Performing post weld cleaning of ship's structural repair areas.Removing and reinstalling tank access covers in support of other work.Qualifications:2+ years naval or commercial ship repair experienceSkilled in removing, altering, repairing, and installing ship structuresProficient in manufacturing templates, laying out and fabricating structures and fittings (bulkheads, equipment foundations, hangers, ladders, stanchions)Experienced in fit-up and prep for welding, to include chipping, beveling, hand-grinding, and cleaning surfacesCapable of performing post-weld clean-up of ship's structural repair areas and removal/reinstall of tank access covers in support of other work.HS Diploma or equivalent requiredUS Citizenship and at least an Active/Interim CONFIDENTIAL Security Clearance requiredBenefit Highlights Include:Comprehensive Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance11 Paid Holidays Per Year17 Days PTO/Sick Time Per YearMatching 401K (50% Match up to 8%)Employer Paid Life Insurance Tuition ReimbursementEmployee Assistance Plan (EAP)Pet InsuranceGlobal- a 1st Flagship Company is an E-Verify and is an equal opportunity employer.
