Easy Apply now by clicking the "Apply" buttonand sending us your resume.Salary: $65,000 - $80,000 per yearA bit about us:Global Manufacturing CompanyWhy join us?Do you want to work on meaningful projects with no micromanagement?Meaningful Work!Competitive Base Salary!Competitive Bonus and Options Package!Complete Benefits Package!Life Balance!Accelerated Career Growth!Fun Company Activities!Job DetailsJJOB RESPONSIBILITIESCollaborate with Sr EHS Lead and EHS Technician on building a Plant safety strategy to align with company safety initiatives.Development, implementing, and executing safety initiatives to strive to meet safety measures including but not limited to incident/accident reporting procedures, safety plans on evacuations, first responders' organization, risk assessments, periodic safety training, safety assessments, and primary/salaried ongoing training.Partnering with our People Leaders and Primary employees on best safety practices including coordinating and appropriate planningCreating and overseeing routine safety and health strategies to meet end of year results.Develop, implement and/or evaluate EHS plans and programs to ensure a solid foundation of safety and environmental awareness is communicated within the facility.Maintain, transform and update EHS data into information (charts, and graphs) and metrics.Develop, implement, deliver, maintain, and improve EHS related training programs in coordinated effort with NLT, EHS Leader and appropriate plant personnel.Implement and maintain all EHS training in the approved data base. Maintain training documentation as required by corporate and federal/state standards.Conduct, identify and document Hazard Analysis process, Safe Behavior Observations, facility audits, etc.Assist in recordable injury, first-aid, and near-miss investigations and in the development and implementation of improvement action plans through completion of "Learning from Incident "reports.Improve the EHS culture through educating employees on EHS standards and procedures.Actively participate in the implementation of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) within the EHS Pillar with strong support of all pillars; serve as Vice Pillar LeaderJOB REQUIREMENTSMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelors degree in any field related to EH&S, such as industrial hygiene, engineering, science or equivalent2+ years of experience leading EHS efforts in an industrial manufacturing settingBilingual (English & Spanish)PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:Experience in the implementation of OSHA, EPA, and other general industry EHS standardsUnderstands development needs within the Owens Corning EHS body of knowledge while planning, creating, executing, and sustaining necessary needs to our businessExperience in providing feedback when identifying unsafe acts or behaviors at all employee levels.Experience making high-impact decisions in fast-paced environment.Experience with utilizing Computer programs including Microsoft office to develop resources needed for training/teaching purposes.Experience with leading people with ongoing initiatives to prepare rising talentKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:ASP certification preferred, not required.Working in a manufacturing or distribution environmentAdvanced computer skills (Excel pivot tables/formula writing; PowerPoint)Writing and maintaining standard operating proceduresWilling to learn new controls technologies and systems as required throughout plantWork up to (10-12) hours in non-climate-controlled manufacturing environmentAbility to work after business hours and be on call as necessarySafeguard self and others with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Steel-toed shoe, Eye protection (glasses, goggles, and/or facemask), and hearing protection as necessary for tasksob Details:We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) Specialist to join our team. This role will be an integral part of our engineering department, ensuring that our operations and processes meet or exceed regulatory and company EHS standards. The successful candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing and a proven track record in managing EHS programs. This is a great opportunity to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment where you can make a significant impact on our company and the safety of our employees.Responsibilities:Develop, implement, and maintain effective systems, procedures, and training to achieve an accident-free and healthy work environment.Implement EHS policies and procedures to be followed in compliance with local, state, and federal rules and regulations.Conduct risk assessments and enforce preventative measures.Review existing policies and measures and update according to legislation.Initiate and organize EHS training of employees and executives.Inspect equipment and machinery to observe possible unsafe conditions.Investigate accidents or incidents to discover causes and handle worker's compensation claims.Recommend solutions to issues, improvement opportunities, or new prevention measures.Report on EHS awareness, issues, and statistics.Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.Minimum of 5 years of experience in EHS management in a manufacturing environment.Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) preferred.In-depth knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other pertinent regulations.Strong understanding of EHS concepts, principles, and practices.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization.Demonstrated ability to identify hazards and implement appropriate corrective actions.Proficient in MS Office; Working knowledge of EHS Management Systems.Ability to plan, implement, and manage projects.Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions in emergency situations.High level of attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Interested in hearing more?
