About the Position: We are seeking a dynamic field operations professional to join our client’s team in Peoria, IL. The Superintendent will be a key leader in the construction of a growing heavy highway backlog in the Central Illinois region. The optimal candidate will have at least 10 years of field leadership experience in the construction of roads and/or bridges, including concrete super-structures and pile driving. Responsibilities: Coordinating labor and scheduling for field employees, subcontractors, and material deliveries Daily communication with general superintendent and project manager(s) to determine budgets and timelines Implementing rigorous safety and quality guidelines Maintaining daily log of site operations and identifying gaps or areas that need to be addressed Requirements: Minimum 10 years of field leadership experience in the construction of roads and/or bridges High School Diploma required; College Degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering preferred, or commensurate experience Knowledge of heavy highway construction industry practices and procedures Well-organized: Able to plan, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks Strong work ethic combined with exemplary leadership and communication skills OSHA and other safety trainings, in addition to the ability analyze and interpret blueprints, plans, and policies Benefits: Employee Stock Option Plan (ESOP) Discretionary annual bonus Company vehicle Relocation expenses, if needed Per diem and housing, if needed 401(k) match Major medical/dental/vision insurance How to Apply: Qualified candidates are encouraged to apply by submitting their resume online for consideration.
